New Neighborhood Center Meetup
The Complete Communities Coalition is proposing to expand the number of neighborhood centers in Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan. These new centers would support small businesses, improve access to daily essentials, and create more opportunities for new housing.
To support these new centers, we are hosting a tour of the new NCs with meetings between interested neighbors and councilmembers planned at each location.

Roots to Roofs - Land Use Committee Meeting
Provide public comment in support of affordable housing development in areas of Seattle that have been effectively off-limits.
Proposed by Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck, this legislation is a pilot program that would allow a set number of development projects to take advantage of additional density allowances in exchange for setting aside at least 25% of units as affordable for up to 50 years.
In addition, the proposal includes additional density bonuses for development on parcels that have been previously subject to racially restrict covenants.

Comprehensive Plan Select Committee Meeting
The Select Committee on the Comprehensive Plan, comprised of all 9 City Councilmembers, began meeting biweekly to discuss the Comprehensive Plan on January 6th, 2025. The committee is expected to cast final votes on the proposed Comprehensive Plan package in May or June 2025.
